Daily Tom Petty

My evolution of knowing happened over many years. Sometimes the knowing was fast and furious with downloads and progression and other times it felt stuck and stagnant - a still swamp that you can just make out the outline of matter underneath the surface. Calm in the surface but filled with debris littered underneath. Chaos.

Hearing Tom Petty everyday was a "foreplay" of knowingness for me. Just being present enough to understand that hearing Tom Petty everyday was notable and being curious as to why.

It became a bit of a joke on our holiday - a "Where's Tom Petty" instead of Where's Waldo in our day to day adventures. Sometimes it would be the first song on a random radio station that we were listening to or over the speakers in a restaurant that we are eating at.

For some reason I needed to have this reminder on a daily basis to really understand that the energy does not come and go and be stagnant. It's always there - it's just our knowingness and acknowledgement that changes.

I needed to be reminded daily that my guides were with me always. My energy forces surrounded me daily. Using your intuition for big things is a given but it's in those little daily moments, those seemingly insignificant moments, where you check in or notice little pokes. That's where the growth happens.

For me it was Tom Petty. But it can be anything for you. It's just being open to what it coming at you is what is important.

I have always been spiritual and knew that there was more to the world than what the eye can see but it wasn't until digging deeper into this seemingly coincidental thing did my world expand to a greater understanding. I am still learning (and always will be!), but those first tentative steps were quite impactful in my journey. Even now if I'm feeling unsure or a little tentative, somehow Tom Petty always seems to get brought up or play and it makes me smile. It's like my own personal wave "hello" from the universe that all is well.
