Discernment & Finding Your Truth

What's important is to follow your own intuition - even when it doesn't make sense.

When Tom Petty songs and references were following me around, at first it was jarring and confusing of course. But even though it didn't make sense to those around me, I knew that this was a message from my guides.

That inner knowingness is the meat and potatoes of this lifetime. Know yourself at your core essence, your middle space. Of course, knowing yourself leads to unearthing blocks, past life wounds, inner child trauma, etc etc. But that's the juice. You just have to squeeze it.

As more people level up into their own gifts and spirituality (which is beautiful!), it can get very overwhelming following it all on social media or listening on podcasts. Especially if you do not have that connection with yourself yet. The mind can be easily swayed and the ego can take some of these seeds and "truths" from other people to use as a measuring stick of how you do not measure up in some way. The ego is a bit of a bitch, truthfully. A super loyal bitch who just wants you to stay safe and comfortable with the familiar. But that's not our path is it? Our path is about breaking free from the routine and unearthing the "goo" so that we can transform into a butterfly (read here if that doesn't make sense).

So, the message here is to be open to possibilities and ideas and knowledge of course. Always. However use discernment for how this applies to your life and how it can affect your life.

Some big spiritual gurus on YouTube believe that channeling aliens and doing quarterly light versus dark battles against evil at portals throughout the planet is the way through. And that's their truth.

Come back to yourself for a minute without being caught up in the theatrics and come back to source. Connect to your inner guidance. Connect to God (if that resonates). And see for yourself if this is right for you. Because change comes from within. It comes from the individuals working on themselves to heal the collective and raise the vibration of the earth.

Your journey is not supposed to look like anyone else's. It's not supposed to feel the same. Because we are all unique creatures made in the essence of God. He wants us all to succeed in our journeys and be true to our highest selves, but we all have lessons to learn and grow from. That's why we're here. We are all souls on a soul journey in a meat suit. We are a soul with a body. Not a body with a soul.

And with each incarnation we are working on lessons and growing from them for our own soul growth.

So. What does your journey look like? It always begins and ends within. There are no external sources that can connect you to source than what comes from inside you. And if some promise that - it's all an illusion. Because there is only one you.

So while scrolling through social media, use your judgement, use your discernment. Connect in and see if what people are saying is connecting to you. And if not? That's fine. There are no attachments. Continue to learn, grow, and evolve, work through your blocks, traumas, connect with your inner child. It's all part of the process.
